How will a senior UX leader help my agency win and deliver?
Small and mid-size agencies sometimes need to add senior UX depth to their bench. When a client engagement calls for it, you need someone who can step in fast, deliver work at a high level, and represent your team well. I’m a versatile player. Below are the most common ways I plug in at agencies.
Discovery & Research
Solid discovery and research ensure we’re solving all the right problems from the start. Talking to users can uncover hidden workarounds which can be powerful inputs to design. Good up-front research and heuristic auditing can prevent the mid-project pivot that comes from finding out answers too late.
UX & Interaction Design
We need to go beyond the happy path so we can empower engineering with solutions for edge cases, error states, and what happens when you hit the back button. That micro animation when the right UI shows up just in time. That bit of micro copy providing users with context. The WCAG compliant design system tokens that ensure consistency and speed development. Senior UX thinking connects all these dots and reduces surprises.
UI Design & Art Direction
If UX is how it works, then UI is how it looks and feels. Some designers blur the lines. I don't. UI is where brand, personality, and craft come alive within the system. Typography, color, motion, and the small visual details that make a product feel considered rather than assembled. Not every engagement needs this piece from me, but when it does, it's a genuine differentiator.
Creative Leadership
Ever encountered a client where Brand and Marketing are clearly not on the same page? Or an exec who tries to steer creative based on their personal taste?
